Cofagrigus -- Rainy day Review -- 563

I love this guy. Ever since the first moment I laid my eyes on it.
Pretty productive in the rain, lets see some use.

Special:

Cofagrigus (M) @ Damp Rock

Trait: Mummy

EVs: 96 HP / 32 Def / 252 SAtk / 128 SDef

Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

- Rain Dance
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball / HP Water
- Psychic / HP Water

Wow, this is my first pokemon that sets it's own rain up.
Rain Dance supports the whole team with rain, he's amazingly bulky, so he does it fairly well, and he can sometimes give away mummy to his opponent before he switches out to whoever is making better use of the rain.
Shadow Ball is STAB, so it works, I maxed his Special attack, so it should work.
Hp Water is iffy, because he normally doesn't stay in to make use of the rain, but still can work.
Energy Ball and Psychic are coverage.

Special[Alt]:

Cofagrigus (M) @ Leftovers

Trait: Mummy

EVs: 176 HP / 128 Def / 140 SAtk / 64 SDef

Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)

- Calm Mind
- Trick Room
- Hidden Power [Water]
- Shadow Ball

He needs 2-3 turns to set up properly, but with his stats, he pulls it off.
Calm Mind is your first set up, use it once or twice depending on how much damage you're taking, then you set up Trick Room.
You outspeed most opponents in Trick Room, you have pretty nice Special attack, and have STAB, and a coverage move that gets boosted like it's STAB, due to the rain being active.

Overall, he can do some cool stuff with just Rain Dance and HP Water, but to be fair. He doesn't get much in the rain.

Rating for the rain - 5/10
