Feraligatr -- Rainy day Review -- 160

Water types naturally conquer all in the rain, So this guy already have that going for him, but what Rain Utilities does he really get?
Lets find out.

Feraligatr (M) @ Life Orb

Trait: Sheer Force

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

- Waterfall
- Rock Slide
- Ice Fang
- Dragon Dance

Lots of boosts riding on Waterfall's awesomeness here.
It's getting STAB, Sheer Force, Life orb, and Rain boosting on it. That's a butt load of boosts riding onto one move.
Plus, Dragon Dance is easily set up, so Feraligatr is moving faster, and hitting harder. Rock Slide doesn't have you taking damage from your orb, and is heavy coverage. Ice Fang is coverage. This is a standard widely used boss Feraligatr set, but the main purpose is that Waterfall becomes crazy powerful, meaning you can take so many things down with it, it's just amazing. So it's like the already beastly Standard Feraligatr, with a Rain boost added in. Nice isn't it?

Feraligatr (M) @ Life Orb

Trait: Sheer Force

EVs: 80 HP / 252 SAtk / 140 SDef / 36 Spd

Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Focus Blast
- Agility

This is the less commonly used Special Gator.
Scald has that burn Chance, so it gets the Sheer Force + Life orb boost, with no recoil. Ice Beam has a freeze chance, so the same situation with Scald Applies. Focus Blast has a chance to lower Special defense, so it also gets boosted. Agility raises his 200 speed stat do a 400 speed stat. So that he can focus more into his bulk, and a lot into his Special attack.

Overall, he's not bad at all. All he's really benefiting from the rain is STAB boosters though, which still gets him as a popular choice for a super hard hitting sweeper.

Rating in the rain - 6/10
